Visalia Emergency Aid Council’s (VEAC) Race Against Hunger is on the most thankful day of the year, and we are so thankful to YOU for joining us!
Our Race Against Hunger is now recognized as the largest timed Thanksgiving 5K Run in the Central Valley. With over 5,000 participants, we celebrate this family-friendly event as we enter our 20th Anniversary! The Race Against Hunger is more than a race - it's part of our community! As a participant, you'll not only join thousands of runners & walkers from the Central Valley, but you will be able to say that YOU are helping Visalia Emergency Aid Council ensure that NO child goes to bed hungry in Tulare County.
By participating in our race, you're directly contributing to our mission of keeping our pantry shelves stocked with nutritious foods and snacks for families with children, seniors, and veterans. All funds raised go straight to our food pantry programs, ensuring that households in need are connected with the food resources they require. Step by step, this race is making a tangible difference in our community!
Event Details
Where: Garden Street Plaza (Main St. & Garden) in Downtown Visalia
When: 5K Run & 2 Mile Walk starts at 8:00 AM SHARP! (We recommend getting there at 7:00 AM as parking might be tricky!)
Kid's Race: 7:30 AM Sharp! ( Parents, please have your child at the start line by 7:15 AM)
Day-of packet pickup: 6:30 AM to 7:45 AM. We will not hold the race for you to get your bib and shirt, so please get there early as lines can be long!

Pricing
Price Increase 1: Adult registrations will increase by $5 on November 1st, 2024
Price Increase 2: Adult registrations will increase an additional $5 on Thanksgiving Morning, November 28, 2024

Kids 12 and under are always $15!

Saturday, November 23rd: 11am - 6pm
Tuesday, November 26th: 11am - 7pm
Wednesday, November 27th: 11am - 4pm
Parking will be available in the North lot or across the street.

Create or Join a Team
Race Against Hunger teams are groups of extraordinary people who come together to support our mission! YOU can create your own team of 5 more more members for your business, organization, school, club, or even family! Teams can consist of members doing any of our events (runners, walkers, kid's racers, etc.)!

- Raise $100 = Your registration fee will be waived/refunded
